When Jesus said the harvest is ripe, he wasn’t kidding…
This is Mlumati High School, our Thursday Bible Study, and wow this harvest was ripe. I would not consider myself to be an evangelist but last week after the gospel was presented by one of the girls I work with, I prayed “the sinners prayer” with the girls and afterwards asked them to raise their hand if they just received Christ and 15 out of the 16 girls raised their hands (the 16th was already a Christian). We went back this week and two of the girls who weren’t able to make it last week said “We heard everyone got saved last week, can you help us be saved?” I’ve never had people beg me to lead them to Jesus.
Two of the newest names in the Lamb’s book of life are Tema (the one directly above me) and Nomsa (third girl to Tema’s left) after we prayed I felt prompted to ask them if they felt any different. Nomsa said smiling ear to ear “I have this unexplainable joy that…I can’t explain it…i’ve never felt this before” and Tema said “i feel this peace inside of me that i’ve never felt before”. Praise God! I’m humbled that God can use me like this.
Pray for all of these baby Christians at this school. I’m praying for people in their communities (family, church etc) who can walk this Christian life daily with them since I only see them once a week and I live 2 hours away. The health teacher who is my contact at that school is a strong believer in Christ and I’ve told her about the girls and told the girls to go and talk with her.
Great stuff – thanks Becca!
This is so exciting; they are definitely in my prayers (as are you!)!
