So, it’s official all 5 of the Bible Studies have officially started.  We meet with them once a week Wednesday through Saturday.  We are in 3 of the 4 regions in Swaziland which means lots of driving and the radio in the car we are using is out so that means my team has been subjected to my singing 🙂

This group here is our Friday group and these girls go to a Nazarene school and stay in the hostel there with 200 girls.  This school is close to the Mozambique border so we have Swazis, Mozambicans, and Zimbabweans. Usually it takes 3-4 weeks for the girls to open up and start talking but this group on only their 2nd week I felt like walls were coming down and they were sharing a lot.  We were studying Psalm 139 this week and different Scriptures about what God thinks about us and then I asked them “how will these truths affect your behavior now that you know what God thinks of you” and one girl said “I’ve been involved in bad things and I’m going to stop now”.  I was like “whoa, that’s great”.  Normally on the 2nd week it’s like “i feel good or I feel happy”…so that was awesome.  We finished the day with these girls by going and seeing their rooms and their teddy bears 🙂 and then we were singing “Redeemer” by Nicole C. Mullen at the top of our lungs in the hallway, my heart was overflowing!  The Holy Spirit also gave me insight that most of these girls feel forgotten because they are at bording school and so we hit some heart issues and it was awesome.  I feel so privileged that I get to love on these girls.

On Thursday, we were studying how we are created for relationship and God’s number 1 desire for us is to have a relationship with Him.  We then presented the story of the Passover and how the angel of death only passed over because of the blood of the lamb.  Not because the Israelites sinned less than the Egyptians or because they went to the temple when they were suppossed to, ONLY BY THE BLOOD.  We then prayed and 15 out of the 16 girls gave their lives to Christ.  To symbolize they are now under the blood we had each one stand under out red paper.  Oh, heaven was rejoicing!

Please pray for these babies in the Lord and pray for me as I feel a lot of responsibility for them.  I was surprised so many were not believers because when we talk they all knew the right answers and were talking about Christ.  However, Faith, one of the Swazi girls who is helping me, gave her testimony on Saturday and she said “I went to church my whole life, but then Becca told me about having a personal realationship with Christ, I had never heard that before”.

Here’s my Wednesday group.  This is at the school I was at last year with a new group of girls.  They are precious!

I’ll try to get pictures of the other groups this week.  I’m so thankful for digital cameras so you can see what’s going on here.

On another note, my car still isn’t fixed so just pray it gets fixed this week so I can sell it.  And this heat is killing me…I’m trying not to complain but it’s been in the 90s for weeks and the sun is relentless here.  Thank God for my blender to make smoothies and ice cream.
