The team – Hloniphile (or Ruth), Becca (or Jabu), and Phumlile (or Faith).  Ruth and Faith were in the very first Bible Study last year and then were leaders of the younger girls of the same Bible Study.  When I got back from the States, I called them over to stay the week with me where they soon found out that I wanted to hire them full time to help me lead the Bible Studies last year.  Last year I was primarily at 1 high school and this year the Lord wants us to be in one school in each of the 4 land regions of Swaziland and try the curriculum in 1 elementary school with 7th graders.

As of now the girls are working with me Tuesday through Saturday and staying at my house and then going back to their rural homes over the weekend.  I will admit, this has been two weeks full of joy and challenges.  Ruth and Faith bring me so much joy and  I have already learned so much working with them and the Bible Studies are only starting this week.  They encourage me and give me hope for the future of Swaziland.  I mean trying to figure out what I am supposed to be doing is challenging enough much less leading two others.  Yes, we need prayer.  I asked these girls “Are you willing to join me in this journey?  I’m not sure exactly where it leads and what all we will be doing exactly”  They wholeheartedly agreed.

Okay, so it hasn’t been so serious, I’m having so much fun with these girls.  Faith (on the right) would totally kill me if she knew I was broadcasting this across the internet but she is just about the cutest thing ever and humble, oh so humble.  She had never been farther than about 5 miles from her home.  I got to introduce a Swazi to her capital city and experience that excitement with her.  The funniest thing however was we went to meet with the Ministry of Education last week and it’s on the 6th floor

so of course I opted for the elevator.  I was so busy praying for the meeting it didn’t even cross my mind that she had never been in an elevator.  It started going up and her eyes popped out of her head and she wrapped her arms around Ruth and clung for dear life – I still belly laugh when I think of it…oh if I only I would have had my camera ready – it was one of the funniest things I had ever seen J

This is the hardest and greatest thing I’ve ever been a part of.  We’ve had great discussions, they are learning to hear the still small voice of the Holy Spirit…sometimes I have to sit back and say “seriously, I have best ‘job'”.
